The Retreat Golf Course is a Championship 9 Hole Public Golf Course located 25 miles west of Duluth on Highway 2.  Built into the northland woods with  Mirbat Creek winding through the property, The Retreat is one of the best 9-hole golf courses in Minnesota.
 

Several improvements have been completed, including the addition of four new sand bunkers, three new tees, several mounds and two new ponds.   All the renovation work was recommended by Jeff Brauer, world-class golf designer of both courses at Giant’s Ridge, plus the new Wilderness course in Tower, Minnesota.
